Jackets & Coats

Coats and Jackets can be manufactured in many configurations; your needs dictate the construction. The standard center snap closure is designed for ease of donning and doffing. An under flap provides a barrier of protection from splashes. The side closure design is constructed to protect from direct frontal splashes providing chemical protection. The one-piece body panel is fastened by an offset side zipper covered by a 1½” flap. A breakaway zipper offers quick removal of the jacket in emergencies. Select Jacket designs/sizes are stocked and may ship within 2 business days. The remaining jacket and coat designs and sizes are manufactured to order. Closure

Center Zip - Hook & Loop Flap

A breakaway zipper that offers quick removal of the jacket in emergencies installed in the center of the front of the jacket. The garment has an added hook & loop flap covering the zipper for added splash protection.

Center Zip - Snap Flap

A breakaway zipper that offers quick removal of the jacket in emergencies installed in the center of the front of the jacket. The garment has an added snap flap covering the zipper for added splash protection.

Front Hook & Loop

Hook & loop strips on the closure flap on the front of the garment to hold it securely closed. An under flap provides an additional splash barrier.

Front Snap

A heavy duty durable snap assembly installed slightly off-center on the front of the garment to hold it securely closed with an under flap that provides an additional splash barrier.

Side Zip

Side closure construction is specifically designed to protect from direct frontal splashes. The one-piece body panel is fastened by an offset side zipper covered by a 1 1/2" flap. A break-away zipper offers quick removal of the garment in emergencies.

Added Flap

Hook & Loop Flap

A hook & loop flap added over the snap closure of the garment to provide an additional splash barrier.

Hook & Loop Under Flap

Hook and loop strips added to the interior flap of the garment to increase the splash protection.

Center Zip Under Flap

An additional flap added to the interior of a garment having a center zip closure.

Hood Options

No Parka Hood

This design has the standard collar without the addition of a parka-style hood.

Parka Hood

The parka hood is designed to fit over a hard cap and has a drawstring to cinch the hood around the face piece and includes a hook & loop flap at the neck

Parka Hood Elastic Face

The parka hood is designed to fit over a hard cap and has elastic sewn around the face to cinch the hood around the face piece and includes a hook & loop flap at the neck

Sleeves

Attached Glove Sleeve with Choice of Offered Gloves

The gloves we offer with our specific fabrics can be permanently attached/sealed to the end of the sleeves. These gloves cannot be replaced if damaged as they can with the SealTite® system.

Double Sleeve with Elastic Gathered Inner Cuff

An additional arm section has been sealed onto the forearm of the sleeve and extends to the end of the sleeve. Elastic is added to the inner sleeve cuff to gather it close to the wrists. A glove can be worn between the two sleeve components for additional splash protection.

Double Sleeve with Elastic Gathered Inner Cuff and Hook & Loop Outer Cuff

An additional arm section has been sealed onto the forearm of the sleeve and extends to the end of the sleeve. Elastic is added to the inner sleeve cuff to gather it close to the wrists . The outer cuff can be secured snugly over the glove with the added hook & loop strip. The glove can be worn between the two sleeve components for additional splash protection.

Double Sleeve with Elastic Gathered Inner Cuff and Snap Outer Cuff

Elastic Cuff Sleeve

The sleeve has an elastic-gathered cuff which cinches the sleeve closer around the wrist to add some splash protection.

SealTite® Sleeve with Choice of Offered Gloves

The SealTite® sleeve provides a liquid-tight, vapor-tight seal when worn with one of our beaded gloves for optimum protection from splashes on the wearer's forearm. See About Us link for more information about the SealTite® sleeve.

Gloves AO

Blue Kevlar®-lined Triple Dipped PVC

Triple-dipped PVC-coated glove with a textured layer covering the hand portion of the glove to about the wrist and having a liner made with Kevlar® to provide cut resistance as well as chemical protection. This glove has ANSI Level 3 cut protection.

Black Neoprene

Per the glove manufacturer: “Broad chemical resistance (acids, aliphatic solvents, solvent mixtures), increased by the thickness of the material. Good grip, due to embossed texture. Easy to pull on and off, due to chlorinated interior. The two neoprene layers superimposed increase the mechanical and chemical resistance. The glove red inner lay ensures that any wear is clearly visible"

Blue/Black Neoprene

Mapa Professional states that this glove has “Excellent chemical resistance with enhanced rough grip. Durable Neoprene with an inner layer in palm area of Natural Rubber for excellent dexterity, mechanical and chemical protection.”.

Heavy Duty Black Neoprene

According to the glove manufacturer – this glove has “superior chemical resistance against acids and alkalis, such as concentrated hydrofluoric acid, oils, and greases” It also offers some insulation from hot liquids due to the cotton lining.

Expanded Back for SCBA

An expanded section on the back of the garment to accommodate the wearing of a SCBA.

Poly Cord in Collar

The standard collar has an integrated welting bead along the edge for added strength. If being used in extreme cold, the standard bead can be replaced with a poly cord.

Reinforced Elbows

The elbow, knee and seat regions are more at risk for cuts, tears and wear in some conditions. For added protection, an extra layer of fabric is sewn into the seams and sealed with the seams as well as on the top and bottom of the extra panel.

Addition of 1 or 2 pockets available

1 or 2 pockets can be sealed onto many of our garments. Center zip garments can have pockets on the left side only. Standard pockets come with drain holes in the bottom. Current pocket sizes offered are: 5" x 6" (no drain holes), 5" x 9", 7" x 7" and 10" x 10". The pocket will be manufactured from the same fabric as the garment. More Photos 3

+/- 3" increments to sleeve length available

The design of our garments allows for non-binding movements such as reaching, bending, stooping, sitting, squatting etc. for the typical height and stature per size. For taller or shorter users we will customize the standard garment, sleeve or leg length plus or minus in 3" increments to allow a custom fit. Contact our Customer Service Department for more information.

Addition of a hang-up loop

A heavy duty ring attached to the garment for easy storage. This ring is NOT to be used as a rescue-ring.

Retrieval D-Ring

A factory installed Retrieval D-Ring can be added to a jacket. IT MUST BE CONNECTED TO A FULL BODY HARNESS.

Fabric

HiGlo

HiGlo is a bright yellow, proprietary polyvinyl chloride compound that is coated on both sides. Our compound gives the fabric a softer, more pliant feel and superb low temperature flexibility. At 19 mils to 21 mils thick, HiGlo is the fabric of choice for maintenance and operations personnel within the chemical/petrochemical and HF Refining industries.

CPE

Chlorinated Polyethylene is easily recognized by its bright orange color so that it is readily identifiable in hazardous conditions. CPE is a 23 mil thick proprietary formulated fabric that provides outstanding chemical and flame resistance while maintaining flexibility in low temperatures. It also provides superior protection from inorganic acids, oxidizing acids and aliphatic hydro-carbons. CPE fabric meets and exceeds the Flame Impingement criteria set forth in ASTM F1358.

FlexLite Orange

FlexLite Orange is easily recognized by its bright neon orange color. At 19 mils to 21 mils thick, FlexLite Orange is similar to HiGlo except for its difference in color.

GraLite®

GraLite® is a pearl gray, proprietary polyvinyl chloride compound that is coated on both sides. The 19 mils to 21 mils thick material offers resistance to most aliphatic hydrocarbons, caustics, organic acids and alcohols.

FlexLite Blue

FlexLite Blue is easily recognized by its bright blue color. At 17 mils to 19 mils this fabric is designed to replace raingear in the chemical/petrochemical and HF Refining industries. FLB cost per wearing is an economical way to improve safety and reduce cost in hazardous environments.

FlexLite Green

FlexLite Green can be recognized by its mossy green color. At 17 mils to 19 mils this fabric is similar to FlexLite Blue except for the difference in color.

GraLite® 20

GraLite® 20 is recommended for more severe corrosive and abrasive conditions because of its 24 mils to 26 mils thickness. With a PVC coating on one side, GraLite® 20 has proven itself to be a rugged, durable protective fabric.

WinterGlo

WinterGlo is a bright pink and coated on both sides. WinterGlo is 19 mils to 21 mils thick and easily identified by its distinctive color and flexibility.

WinterGlo 20

WinterGlo® 20 is 24 mils to 26 mils thick and offers outstanding chemical resistance. WinterGlo 20 is easily identified by its one side coating and our proprietary PVC formulation keeps fabric soft and flexible year round.
