Half-C Suits

Half-C Maxi Vision Suits

The Half-C Maxi Vision is very similar to the Half-C Shoulder Mount Suit as it has a StaSafe® shoulder mount style hood attached to the body of a SealTite® sleeved garment having a 27” pressure-sealing zipper closure on the front closing from the shoulder to the bottom of the garment. The hood comes standard with a muffler installed in the crown for air circulation. While keeping the larger window and the muffler of the Half-C Shoulder Mount Suit, this suit hood portion is 3” taller to accommodate the headgear for a hard hat or ratchet headgear typically used with the Half-C Shell Suit. The cover window (20 mils thick) rests inside a snap-enclosed pocket for easy replacement and provides excellent range of vision while protecting the permanently sealed 40 mils thick inner window. A valve-belt and hose assembly provided with your choice of fittings completes the Half-C Maxi Vision Suit. Configure the suit to meet all your needs by choosing the glove options, optional 40 mil cover window or by customizing by adding options such as expanding the garment to accommodate a SCBA, installing a vent system, adding AC or elbow reinforcements to name a few. Gloves AO

Blue Kevlar®-lined Triple Dipped PVC

Triple-dipped PVC-coated glove with a textured layer covering the hand portion of the glove to about the wrist and having a liner made with Kevlar® to provide cut resistance as well as chemical protection. This glove has ANSI Level 3 cut protection.

Black Neoprene

Per the glove manufacturer: “Broad chemical resistance (acids, aliphatic solvents, solvent mixtures), increased by the thickness of the material. Good grip, due to embossed texture. Easy to pull on and off, due to chlorinated interior. The two neoprene layers superimposed increase the mechanical and chemical resistance. The glove red inner lay ensures that any wear is clearly visible"

Blue/Black Neoprene

Mapa Professional states that this glove has “Excellent chemical resistance with enhanced rough grip. Durable Neoprene with an inner layer in palm area of Natural Rubber for excellent dexterity, mechanical and chemical protection.”.

Heavy Duty Black Neoprene

According to the glove manufacturer – this glove has “superior chemical resistance against acids and alkalis, such as concentrated hydrofluoric acid, oils, and greases” It also offers some insulation from hot liquids due to the cotton lining.

Maxi Ratchet Headgear

Ratchet Headgear allows the wearer to adjust the diameter of the headgear for a more comfortable fit. This ratchet headgear is attached to a frame designed for the Maxi-Vision style hood and secures the headgear to the hood and is used when a hard hat is not required. More Photos 2

Maxi Zip Clip

The zip clip is attached to the headgear frame designed for the Maxi-Vision style Hood allowing it to be worn over a hard hat. This option selection is to be worn with a hard hat provided by the employer.

Window-MV

40 mil Window 20 mil Cover Window

40 mil vinyl window heat-sealed into the face of the hood of the garment. A 20 mil field replaceable cover window is also included installed over the sealed window for additional protection and to protect the sealed window from scratches and nicks. The cover window fits into the frame flaps surrounding the sealed window.

Cover Window-MV AO

40 mil Cover Window

Optional 40 mil thick field replaceable cover window instead of the 20 mil cover window to protect the sealed window from scratches, nicks and/or other minor damage. The cover window fits inside the window frame flap surrounding the sealed window

Cover Window Replacement-MV SS AO

Pack of 12 20 mil field replaceable cover windows to install over the standard size sealed window for additional protection and to protect the sealed window from scratches and nicks. The cover window fits into the frame flaps surrounding the sealed window.

Expanded Back for SCBA-MV

An expanded section on the back of the garment to accommodate the wearing of a SCBA.

Flared Bottom-MV

The garment is 6" longer than a typical Half-C and gradually flares from the chest to the hem of the garment to accommodate other apparatus the wearer may need under the hood such as an egress bottle.

Reinforced Elbows

The elbow, knee and seat regions are more at risk for cuts, tears and wear in some conditions. For added protection, an extra layer of fabric is sewn into the seams and sealed with the seams as well as on the top and bottom of the extra panel.

AC - Vent-MV

Muffler

The muffler is designed to diffuse air from the top of the hood to provide maximum circulation of fresh air and reduce fogging.

AC Unit

Adding an air-conditioning unit helps to keep the environment inside the garment comfortable. We offer a variety of AC units in cool only or cool/warm. Contact our Customer Service to determine which units are available with this suit.

Vent

A vent is added to improve the comfort level of interior suit environment while in use. Relief valves can be added at customer request.

Addition of 1 or 2 pockets available

1 or 2 pockets can be sealed onto the left side inside or outside. Standard pockets come with drain holes in the bottom. Current pocket sizes offered are: 5" x 6" (no drain holes), 5" x 9", 7" x 7" and 10" x 10". The pocket will be manufactured from the same fabric as the garment. More Photos 3

+/- 3" increments to sleeve length available

The design of our garments allows for non-binding movements such as reaching, bending, stooping, sitting, squatting etc. for the typical height and stature per size. For taller or shorter users we will customize the standard garment, sleeve or leg length plus or minus in 3" increments to allow a custom fit. Contact our Customer Service Department for more information.

Retrieval D-Ring

A factory installed Retrieval D-Ring can be added to a Half-C. IT MUST BE CONNECTED TO A FULL BODY HARNESS.

Fabric

HiGlo

HiGlo is a bright yellow, proprietary polyvinyl chloride compound that is coated on both sides. Our compound gives the fabric a softer, more pliant feel and superb low temperature flexibility. At 19 mils to 21 mils thick, HiGlo is the fabric of choice for maintenance and operations personnel within the chemical/petrochemical and HF Refining industries.

CPE

Chlorinated Polyethylene is easily recognized by its bright orange color so that it is readily identifiable in hazardous conditions. CPE is a 23 mil thick proprietary formulated fabric that provides outstanding chemical and flame resistance while maintaining flexibility in low temperatures. It also provides superior protection from inorganic acids, oxidizing acids and aliphatic hydro-carbons. CPE fabric meets and exceeds the Flame Impingement criteria set forth in ASTM F1358.

GraLite®

GraLite® is a pearl gray, proprietary polyvinyl chloride compound that is coated on both sides. The 19 mils to 21 mils thick material offers resistance to most aliphatic hydrocarbons, caustics, organic acids and alcohols.

FlexLite Orange

FlexLite Orange is easily recognized by its bright neon orange color. At 19 mils to 21 mils thick, FlexLite Orange is similar to HiGlo except for its difference in color.

GraLite® 20

GraLite® 20 is recommended for more severe corrosive and abrasive conditions because of its 24 mils to 26 mils thickness. With a PVC coating on one side, GraLite® 20 has proven itself to be a rugged, durable protective fabric.

WinterGlo

WinterGlo is a bright pink and coated on both sides. WinterGlo is 19 mils to 21 mils thick and easily identified by its distinctive color and flexibility.

WinterGlo 20

WinterGlo® 20 is 24 mils to 26 mils thick and offers outstanding chemical resistance. WinterGlo 20 is easily identified by its one side coating and our proprietary PVC formulation keeps fabric soft and flexible year round.
