Shoulder Mount Hood

StaSafe® Shoulder-Mounted Hood is ideal for long hours of work because there is no restrictive headgear. The weight of the hood rests on the shoulders. Adjustable underarm straps hold the front and rear bibs close to the body for comfort and splash protection. The viewing window is constructed of a 40 mils vinyl and permanently sealed to the hood and is protected by a clear, replaceable 20 mils acetate splash window on the outside. A 3/8” I.D. air supply tube extends to the top of the hood. Available in chest length or waist length. Shoulder Mount Hood designs are manufactured to order.

Hood-SM Hood

Shoulder Mount Hood

The Shoulder Mount Hood is ideal for long hours of work because there is no restrictive headgear to cause fatigue. The weight of the hood rests on the shoulders.

Enlarged Shoulder Mount Hood

The Enlarged Shoulder Mount hood has been designed to make the front of the hood approximately 6 inches wider than the standard Shoulder Mount Hood and the back of the hood is approximately 3 inches wider.

Length-SM Hood

Chest Length

The bibs of Shoulder Mount Hood extend past the shoulders to mid-chest in the front and to the shoulder blade region in the back. Front to back straps under the arms hold the hood close to the body.

Waist Length

Garment length comes to just below the waist of an average build individual

Closure-SM Hood

Buckle Closure for Chest Length Hoods

Chemically resistant black plastic bayonet-style buckle fastener attached to a 1" black polypropylene webbing strap placed under the arms to hold the front and rear bibs close to the body for comfort and splash protection.

Hook & Loop Closure for Waist Length Hoods

Tabs with 4" x 6" loop patches are added to the back section of the hood to fasten to the hook patches on the front section of the Hood for a snug fit.

Window Style

Standard size window - cover window frame flaps - cover window installs in flaps

40 mil vinyl window heat-sealed into the face of the hood of the garment. A field replaceable cover window is also included installed over the sealed window for additional protection and to protect the sealed window from scratches and nicks. The cover window is held in place by the surrounding window frame flaps.

Standard size window - no bottom flap - cover window has snaps

Over-sized window - no bottom flap - cover window has snaps

A larger 40 mil vinyl window for increased visibility is heat-sealed into the face of the hood of the garment. A field replaceable cover window is also included installed over the sealed window for additional protection and to protect the sealed window from scratches and nicks. The cover window is held in place by snaps.

20 mil Cover Window

A 20 mil field replaceable cover window is installed over the sealed window for additional protection and to protect the sealed window from scratches and nicks. The cover window fits into the frame flaps surrounding the sealed window or snaps into place for over-sized windows and standard sized-no bottom flap windows.

40 mil Cover Window

A 40 mil field replaceable cover window is installed over the sealed window for additional protection and to protect the sealed window from scratches and nicks. The cover window fits into the frame flaps surrounding the sealed window or snaps into place for over-sized windows.
